design intensive

why a design intensive is perfect for your project

Beautiful interiors do not have to cost a fortune and take months to complete. The Design Intensive was created to bridge the gap between the DIY and the full service design packages. If you’re willing to do a bit of work, a Design Intensive is exactly what you need to ensure your space is thoughtfully created. The Design Intensive is for clients who do not have the timeline or investment for full service design. You will spend tens of thousands of dollars and months of your time with a full service design. The intensive is here to assist in a design direction, select materials and furnishings and then handed to you to complete the required purchases for your space.

*If planning a new build or a gut renovation from start to finish, this is not for you. You will want a full service design package.

The intensive simplifies the design process into a 3 or 6 hour blocks in which many elements of a design project are summarized. The 3 hour block is a great option if you have questions on an existing design or need help finalizing items you’ve already chosen. The 6 hour block is a great option for design direction and needing all elements of a space finalized. The Design Intensive can be in-person, southwest Michigan, or via zoom or phone within the United States. The success of the intensive is based on your willingness to make decisions quickly in order to deliver a great design within the timeframe. The intensive can be structured as a collaborative process or an individual process, meaning, we can work together during the block of time or I can work on your project and present at the end of your block.

how it works

  • pre-work

The Design Intensive begins with extensive pre-work to ensure we can be as productive as possible during your half or full day intensive. You will be asked to submit photos and measurements of your space along with the completion of a questionnaire before we meet.

  • Day of

The day of our Design Intensive we will meet either in person or via phone or zoom. With the information gathered prior, room layout options and mood boards will be presented and decided on. All materials, furniture and accessories will be selected based on time allowance. The more decisive we can be during this phase, the more we can complete!

  • Summary

Within 5-7 business days a full summary of our discussion along with a detailed design plan and shopping list will be sent to you via email, you will then purchase at your leisure.

  • 30 day check-in

30 days after our Design Intensive, a 30 minute phone call will be scheduled to answer any questions you may have regarding items we discussed during the original meeting. Any pieces that are on backorder or need to be replaced can be discussed at this time as well.
